Akarsha Coir Brush Company has been manufacturing high-quality coir brushes for leading brush exporters in Sri Lanka as a subcontract manufacturer for over two decades.
Building on this extensive manufacturing experience and expertise, we established our own business in Sri Lanka in 2023 and began operating as an independent company focused on exporting quality coir brush products to international markets.
Today, we are committed to delivering natural, durable and eco-friendly coir brushes, combining traditional craftsmanship with consistent quality to meet the requirements of international buyers.

How We Make Every Brush
Coir Fiber Extraction & Grading
We source mature coconut husks from domestic processors. The husks are soaked and defibered to isolate strong bristle fiber grades that withstand friction and hot water without weakening.
Galvanized Core Wire Winding
Fibers are machine-fed and tightly wound between corrosion-resistant galvanized steel wires, preventing bristle pull-out during demanding household scrubbing and commercial washing.
Kiln-Dried Hardwood Turning
Handles are turned from plantation-grown rubberwood and sustainably sourced timber. Wood is seasoned and finished to resist moisture absorption, splitting, and bacterial retention.
Precision Trimming & Inspection
Each brush is trimmed to exact contour tolerances for uniform contact surfaces, then individually checked for wire tension, bristle density, and handle security before packaging.
Renewable Inputs, Responsibly Procured
We partner directly with coconut fiber mills across Sri Lanka to repurpose byproducts of the coconut agricultural trade. Our wooden components utilize plantation timber such as rubberwood felled at the end of latex production cycles, ensuring zero native forest depletion.
